5 Things You Can Add in Your Routine to Make it Better

Since the pandemic hit the coast, everyone’s turned into a health conscious individual. They are eating healthy, getting the minimum daily exercise and doing their best to keep their immunity in the best shape possible. Even the person who lived on pizza and Netflix on the couch decided to do a run at least once a week. So, here I am to help you get healthier and better.

Getting along the same lines, I decided to add my little insight into the current wave of health and fitness. Because let’s be honest, I’m one of the millions in the country that hopped on the wave. And during my journey through the lockdown, I found out a few things that helped me get through the hard times as well as improved my routine and made it better than ever.

So, here are a few things that made my routine better and may even help you with yours.

A Big Glass of Water

If there is any advice that I have heard the most, it is the ‘drink lots of water’ one. I did try doing the same but didn’t really succeed until I realized I wasn’t doing it right. With a little bit of professional help, I figured out the right way. And that is to have a big glass of water in the morning.

So, right before I eat anything, I gulp down a big glass of water. You can tweak it up by adding lemon, ginger or warming it up a bit. Similarly, a glass of water before lunch and dinner.

Drinking water in the morning is a good way of flushing the toxins out of the body and gives your internal organs a good boost. And drinking a glass before meals helps improve digestion. Just remember to keep a gap of minimum 30 minutes between your meal and water. So, always remember to keep a big glass of water by your side.

A Journal

I can go on and on about the benefits of having a journal or even a diary. For starters, it clears your mind. Everyday, we go through a lot of thoughts and emotions that remain repressed because of our busy life. For example, if you had a bad day at the office, you might not be able to take out the emotions in the office but a journal can help. It serves the same purpose as talking to the mirror with comebacks that you could have said after a fight.

Writing down your thoughts will also help you get clarity that you may not have initially. Your mood will lighten and you will get the much needed mental peace you deserve.

Secondly, a journal is a good way to have a laugh. Let me explain. With time, we realize that things pass. Whether good or bad. After some time we forget about them and move on in life. If one day you feel like going down memory lane, you can read your journal to feel happy about how far you’ve come while omitting unnecessary negative thoughts. It can also help you get the courage to fight a new problem that may seem big. Reading about how gracefully you jumped all the previous obstacles will give you the courage to move forward at the moment.

CBD

The United States is currently undergoing a wave of CBD. People love CBD infused products. That’s because it can help make life better in more ways than one.

If you are having problems sleeping, CBD can help. It reacts with the endocannabinoid system and regulates the wake and sleep cycle. CBD and anxiety also make a good pair if uncontrollable thoughts continuously hover your mind. It increases the serotonin levels and improves the happy feelings. If you use CBD Vapes, you will experience the effects almost instantly. And that’s not all, CBD is a great way to improve your workout too. It is anti-inflammatory, and pain-relieving. So, if you end up having a muscle sprain after heavy lifting, CBD can calm the pain.

Mindful Eating

Do you have a habit of using your phone while having dinner? If yes, then you must let it go. Multitasking while having a meal isn’t a great habit. You should try mindful eating instead.

Mindful eating means giving all your attention to eating food when having a meal instead of dividing it in different places like phone, TV or the newspaper. It helps you enjoy the flavor of food. And since you are focusing on food, you’ll know when you are full and avoid overeating. I’ll help you maintain your weight by eating the right portions.

Reading

Reading can never be a bad thing. Pick up a newspaper, a blog or even a pamphlet and read. Keep a target of reading at least one thing in your entire day. It will help you improve your vocabulary, improve your reserves of knowledge and act as a great pass time. Reading is a good way to maintain mental health as it distracts your mind and gives you a little escape from the real world.

So, these were the different habits that made my life better without a doubt. Which one do you think will fit your health routine?
